We have an exciting opportunity for a IT Systems Admin to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .
Responsibilities:
- Administrative knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server 2012,2016,2019.
- (Services, Group Policy, Registry, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network management application, services and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with server upgrades, patch management, and server transitioning.
- Experience with SQL server.
- Ability to keep hardware up and running.
- Interfacing with ServiceNow: Ticket System and hardware inventory.
- Support Patching and Compliance to determine health and licensing of installed software.
- Provide interface to NASA IT to Implement Security Policy and Controls Including- Technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Vulnerabilities monitoring and assessment.
- Proactive Risk assessment and mitigation.
- Cryptographic Protection
- Ensure Compliance with NASA standards
- Produce required documentation and reports for management
- Support on-going Engineering IT needs
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Electrical, Data and Controls Section Manager
Qualifications:

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area or experience in the field.
- Proficiency in creating scripts or programs to automate tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft Office Applications​.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher.
- Applicable computer-related experience in the following fields:
- VMware ESXi
- iSCSI
- Windows Server Update Services
- Symantec Endpoint Protection
- Workflow automation platform such as "ServiceNow"
- BigFix
- Nessus
- SQL Server database administration ​
